Height Safety Recertification

ANCHOR POINT SYSTEMS | HATCHES & HANDRAILS | LADDERS & WALKWAYS | STATIC LINES | RECERTIFICATION

Work Health and Safety Legislation and Australian Standards require Fall Arrest Equipment to be inspected and certified by a fully qualified person prior to the first use and then on an annual basis.

This inspection and certification is to ensure the structure to which an anchor is attached is adequate for the imposed loads and has not been modified and/or deteriorated in any way that the structural adequacy could be affected.

Walkways, Ladders and brackets, Static Lines and Anchor Points should all be re-certified every twelve (12) months.

Anchor Point Recertification

All Anchor Point inspections are carried out in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZS 1891-2000 Part 4 Section 9.

The recertification process includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Visual inspection includes looking for any signs of deterioration and/or any signs which may make the Anchor Point unserviceable and in need of repair
  • Visual inspection to identify any modifications which may lead to
    loss of stability
  • Ensuring the Australian Standard is maintained
  • Proof testing in accordance with the specified legislation
